PolyNucleotides - PhilArt

PhilArt is an innovative bio-stimulator. The injectable gel consists of polynucleotides, tiny molecules whose stimulatory effects help naturally promote skin rejuvenation, improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the treated areas.

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are genetic strands taken from salmon / trout fish which are injected as a clear liquid for aesthetic purposes to regenerate the skin. Polynucleotide treatment improves the skin quality on a cellular level and can be used to hydrate the skin, treat dark under-eye circles, treat fine lines around the eyes and lips, rejuvenate scars or improve overall texture to give skin a healthy glow. They work by boosting collagen and elastin production which enhances skin hydration, circulation and overall skin quality.

When polynucleotides are injected into the skin, they work by stimulating the body’s natural repair mechanisms, repairing damaged cells, boosting collagen and elastin production. The also possess anti-inflammatory properties, so can reduce redness and swelling, making them useful for treating conditions like acne and rosacea. Polynucleotides increase the skin’s ability to retain moisture, resulting in and a more hydrated complexion so are excellent for treating dry / dehydrated skin. They can accelerate the wound healing process, helping to minimise recovery from ablative procedures like laser treatments or microneedling and can be used to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and acne scarring.

Which areas can be treated?

  • Eyes: Polynucleotides reduce dark under-eye circle, and smoothing Crow's feet, fine lines, hollows and puffiness beneath the eyes.

  • Skin on forehead: Polynucleotides smooth fine lines, encourage glowing skin and can be used as an alternative to popular anti-wrinkle injections.

  • Skin on cheeks: Polynucleotides smooth folds and lines, tightening and lifting cheeks and hydrating skin.

  • Smokers lines/lines around the mouth/chin: Polynucleotides smooth lines around the mouth without plumping or adding volume.

  • Jawline: Polynucleotides help tighten and define jawline.

  • Neck & Décolletage: Treat fine lines on the neck, treat fine lines and crepey-looking skin.

How many treatments will I require?

Typically 3 - 4 treatments, 2 to 3 weeks apart are required for best results

What is the difference between Polynucleotides and Profhilo?

Both polynucleotide and Profhilo treatments are popular injectable options for skin rejuvenation, but they have key differences in their composition, mechanisms of action, and suitability for different concerns. Both Polynucleotides and Profhilo are skin boosters but are made up of different ingredients and work in different ways:

Polynucleotides are DNA extracts which is a form of “regenerative medicine” it is a water-based substance that stimulates your own body’s collagen and elastin production to create healthier, younger-looking, rejuvenated skin by working on a cellular level. It does not contain hyaluronic acid, so does not draw in water or give much plumping of the skin as profhilo does.

Profhilo is hyaluronic acid which is injected into the skin to give a hydration and plumping but it does not regenerate the skin on a cellular level in the way polynucleotide does. Profhilo is a thicker (more viscous product) which acts like a ‘honey”spreading under the skin and drawing in water so can give a more plumped appearance than Polynucleotides tend to.

Polynucleotides can be used around eyes and on forehead which Profhilo can not be. Both polynucleotides and Profhilo are suitable for use on cheeks, neck, décolletage and stomach.

Both polynucleotides and profhilo require a course treatments

What are the key benefits of treating the undereye area with polynucleotides?

  1. Minimise Dark Circles - One of the primary concerns for many individuals is the presence of dark circles under the eyes. Polynucleotide treatment reduces the pigmentation and discolouration that contribute to the appearance of these dark circles. Impressively, results show that Polynucleotide Eyes improves under eye brightness in individuals by over 32 percent in as little as 4 weeks.

  2. Improves Skin Elasticity - Loss of skin elasticity is a common sign of aging, leading to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Polynucleotide treatment promotes greater skin elasticity, restoring a more youthful and supple appearance to the under-eye area. Polynucleotides are proven to increase skin elasticity by 22 percent on average in just weeks.
